Cover art: There is a crow perched on a tombstone in a cemetery with a full moon in the background. A swirling fog really sets the theme.
Synopsis: The blurb gives good information but leaves you expecting a longer story.
Plot: Well written and enjoyable but short; it was a one night stand that could have been so much more.
Main characters: Drew is a gender fluid, pan-sexual man who is handing out candy at his mother’s on Halloween. David is a bisexual man who brings his nephew Logan trick or treating.
Secondary characters: Drew’s mother is a Wiccan accepting of her son as he is. Logan is David’s nephew. There is an unnamed homophobic sister and brother-in-law. Characters could have been developed more.
Editing and Flow: It was great that is why I was surprised when it ended so quickly.
Conclusion: Great storyline and enjoyable to read, but ended a little quick. I thought it might be a little longer than 28 pages and was left wanting more.
I give it an 8 out of 10
