36384293Cover Art: I thought the cover was very typical for Kindle Alexander books, it’s a striking, one male picture. Plus it was part of a great scene in the story. I also liked that the title/author were easy to read on the cover.

Synopsis The blurb was short and sweet. Didn’t give away the story but you know who the main characters are and enough to get you interested.

Plot: There were definitely enough struggles for Levi and Thane to deal with. The story built and stayed interesting right to the end.

Main Characters: I want to hug Levi and claim him as my kid. He’s just so nice, without being syrupy and fake. Thane is standoffish and maybe a little arrogant, but his character develops and we get to see the real Thane.

Secondary Characters: Julian had a brief moment in Secret and a much bigger role in Reservations. He’s definitely a funny, kind addition to this story. And then there are Logan and Luke, oh these two boys, I just wanted to be their advocate. They weren’t perfect, talked and acted like teenagers and were likable and an integral part of the story. And in true Kindle Alexander style, there were characters from other stories: Aryk & Kellus from Painted on My Heart and Tristan & Dylan from Secret were revisited. I totally loved their addition to the story. Aryk add a lot of humour to this story.

Flow/Continuity: I felt this story flowed seamlessly all the way through, I never had to check back to get something I missed. It’s a long story (which I love) but it never felt like there was too much. I loved how the perspectives kept changing and it was easy to go from Levi to Thane and not be confused.

Conflict & Climax: There was a definite climax and resolution. I loved that neither Thane or Levi had an easy road and we got to see their struggles. I am so glad that there was no hero saving or crazy misunderstanding and anger

Writing Style: I do love their writing style. It just feels so smooth to read their story. I love the wit and humour and man they write super hot scenes.

Editing: I think the editing was really great. There were very few mistakes, I even sent them a couple messages and was thanked for the catches.

Formatting: I liked the font and white space was pretty fair. As per usual, I like less whitespace and more font so this made me happy.

Price: The book is 140K words, so the price of $5.11 CAD, $3.99 US and £3.01 so I think the price is very fair. And it’s in KU as well.

I give this book a score of 9 out of 10!
