Cover Art: I think that it was cool. The artist used different shades of purple and pink. The font is done in a mix of pink and white. I liked the simplicity of the men’s tie.

Main Characters: Charlie and Trent are very interesting characters. They have instant chemistry within seconds of meeting each other during a Halloween party. Outside of the Halloween party, Trent is the CEO of the company and Charlie is just a lowly worker. They meet by chance in the executive bathroom and sparks fly.

Secondary Characters: They are minor and do not really contribute anything to the characters’ story, except to listen to them talk.

Writing style: The chapters are narrated by alternating first person. It is excellent because the reader can see the inner thoughts of the characters. It is all very intense. The author is a very visual writer. I also loved the dialogue. It was well written, and it sounded very natural.

Plot: Real straightforward with elements of romance and domination.

Conflict/Climax: The entire story is full of tension, sexual tension. It is all about the forbidden. Forbidden lust and sex because of the main characters’ relationship to each other as boss and worker.

Flow/Continuity: Spanking the Boss has a great beginning and an end with everything being easily tied up in the end. There are no cliffhangers in this story. The sex is well written, and it easily fits within the story structure.

Conclusion: I found the story to be highly enjoyable. The great characters and intense sex are what make this story.

For all these reasons, I give this nine out of 10 stars!
