Cover Art: A handsome blond male with a serious look on his face but when you look in his eyes, there is almost a smile. There is color in the background which makes the blue in his jacket stand out. At the bottom of the cover is a city. The title is in bold white while the authors’ names are in a thin bold font, easy to read. Overall this is a clean cover.

Synopsis: The blurb definitely made me want to read the book. The authors give just enough to make you want more. There are no warnings of sexual content.

Plot: Simon flies to Toronto to look at a theft and finds his friend has been murdered. The Policeman they call in is no less than Simon’s first repeat in years, who he met on crUIzer.

Main Characters:

Simon Bridgeworth- Earl of Stoneham has funded a hook up app, crUIzer

Sergeant Nick Cooper- Royal Canadian Mounted Police

Secondary Characters:

Peter Sinclair- Simon’s PA

Collette- Simon’s office secretary, Peter’s wife and a physiotherapist

Jack Teeman- President and Simon’s friend

Sarah, Dowager Countess of Stoneham- Simon’s Mother

Flow/Continuity: The story has an easy, continuous flow. The intimate scenes are impromptu and written tastefully.

Conflict & Climax: Simon and Nick’s relationship started off as casual and grew in spite of conflicts regarding their jobs and roadblocks. Simon’s Mom had a short but amazingly fun role.

Editing/Formatting: Bold, black chapter headings with no editing issues.

Priced: The price is comparable to new releases in any genre. Definitely worth the price.

Conclusion: I like the crUIzer profiles, straight to the point. Sarah’s character was fun, especially toward the ending. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quickie, smiles, mystery, mobs, action, drama, romance, and happily ever after ending.

This story was written by two authors who obviously work together in a cohesive manner.

Rating:  9 out of 10

Susan Mac Nicol writes steamy, sexy and fun contemporary gay romance stories, some suspenseful, some gritty and dark, and others just plain ahhhh.

She’s what her doctor calls ‘ a high functioning over achiever’. Susan loves being part of ‘stuff’ and embraces challenges, finding it difficult to say no to exciting ventures.  That’s probably why she’s also Editor in Chief at Divine Magazine, an online LGBTQ e-zine, and a Charity Board trustee at The Being Me Campaign in London. The LGBTQI community and world diversity are the two things she’s truly passionate about, apart from her writing and her poor hard done by, eye rolling but incredibly supportive family.

Lover of angst and conflict, she enjoys putting her characters through the emotional wringer and bringing them out the other side with an HEA or at the very least, a HFN.

She’s passionate about research for her books and has stayed in a circus, taken lessons from a blind person on how it feels to be non-sighted, and travelled to a lighthouse with maintenance crew to see first-hand what it’s like inside. She’s also written a screen play with Hollywood actor and heart-throb Nicholas Downs, with a view to taking her latest release, Sight Unseen, to the big screen. It’s a huge project but she’s loving every minute.

Susan attained PAN status with the Romance Writers of America with her first M/M book, Stripped Bare. She’s currently a member of The Society of Authors in the UK and the Authors Guild in the US. She enjoys being a member of Queer Romance Ink, All Author, Book + Main Bites and the Paranormal Romance Guild. Check out her website for links.
