Cover Art: I loved the cover. It is clean yet colourful. There is an attractive shirtless male on the cover against a white cover. I love the use of the rainbow and how it shimmers on the text and the model. It makes the text look great.

Main Characters: Evan and Nicholas are likeable characters. They are real. Evan is a hospitality manager and Nicholas is a lawyer. They met at a fundraiser for homeless LGBT teens in the Bahamas. From the moment that they met, there was a definite spark of attraction. They have an easy way with each other.

Secondary Characters: I liked three of these characters: Jared, Chris and Claire. Jared and Chris are Evan’s friends. Jared is his supportive co-worker and Chris is his next-door neighbor who also lends him support. Claire is Nicholas’ long time best friend who helps Nicholas further his relationship with Evan. The last minor character is James who is Nicholas’ nasty ex-partner. He causes a lot of drama for the men.

Plot: I found it to be a straightforward romance with drama and a happily ever after.

Writing Style: I enjoyed from the beginning, the writer’s narrative style. The author writes the story in alternating first person. I found that this method of narration allowed me to get into the men’s minds. Also, I think that the author did a decent job with scene description. I enjoyed reading both the intimate scenes and the nonintimate ones. I think that the sex scenes were passionate, and the author was detail oriented.

Conflict/Climax: Evan and Nicholas deal with two key issues in this story: self-esteem and nasty exes. Evan constantly thinks that he does not deserve Nicholas and Nicholas’ ex-partner James is constantly on the peripheral causing drama and angst. The men handle these issues and resolve them together.

Conclusion: I read Evan and Nicholas’ story in one sitting. I loved the characters. They were vibrant and full of love for each other. I could not find anything to hate about it save for James, Nicholas’ ex-partner.

For all these reason, I award this story a 10 out of 10!
